We just end the general assembly of the Mufid, what is your global view on this event?

I think it was a very very successful general assembly, during which we took a number of resolutions in order to change and to improve the quality of life of our membership, amongst our membership, and their role in the area, and especially women. And we emphasize the needs to get financial assistance to women, because when a woman has financial strength, she would always think about her child, her home, so that you know the quality of life, she would be more and more elevated.

President now tell us, what are the motivations of your personal engagement in the MUFID UNION project, why did you decide to engage yourself in this project ?

Actually, it’s about almost 23 years ago that I found the formula of MC2 good enough for me to improve the living conditions of our people. And with a group of 28 peoples from my village, we founded the first MC2 and we brought it into Boyo division, precisely in Njinikom and we founded the first MC2 in Boyo. And the real philosophy of MC2 attracted us in the sense that give the vulnerable people financial assist. And the vulnerable people are the women who are parents of life.

Why do you focus on women ?

Women give life. And they are for ones who gives life, the care taker of that life. And we believe that giving, strengthening the financial capacity of women would improve the quality of the family. Because when a woman has money, she think about her child, to feed her child, paid the school fees; when the child is sick, she care. So we believe that if we can strengthen that, it is one of our successful endeavor. And therefor, through an international organization, we founded one we call credit and saving with education learning, teaching the women how to generate resources, how to make money and how to improve their quality of life ; and I am very very proud that for 10 years, we reached out to almost a million members and amongsly women. And that it’s the pride of us that brought this formula credit and savings in education were we help the women to save money.  We teach them basic rules of, and the more we taught them more about health, their demand for credit for health disminish significantly and this general assembly gave us the moment to go ahead and improve the quality of life of that people in their own area especially Boyo.
